This is Rai, and I just thought that since I got extremely bored today and there's nothing to do, I'd post a little blurb that tells you a bit more about me. If we're going to be like a small family here, might as well get to know each other, right? C: Thought I'd kick it off - and maybe if you find something we have in common, we can chat about it.I hope to make some new friends from this or something. C:
So, well, I guess I'd better start off with my name. My real name is Mimi. C: But I'd like to be known as Rai. Unlike what my beloved Pokemon roleplay friends think, it is not short for Raichu, though I wouldn't mind because Raichu is my favorite Pokemon. C: The name actually comes from Raijuu, which is short for Rokubi no Raijuu, which is the six-tailed thunder weasel from Japanese demon mythology. C:

It dates back to sixth grade, okay? .______. Dun judge.
Well, besides that - I am sixteen years old - nice to meet you all. C: I'm going into my junior year of highschool, though thankfully of course it's summer for me now. I spend my weekdays volunteering at the Newseum. C: Where I stand for 8 hours a day, so my legs hurt like all hell. xD And I also volunteer at the National Institute of Health (NIH) where I help out with sick people. C: So yeah. During the evenings, I roleplay, read manga, play video games, and do my SAT prep. xDDD
So. Um, the things I like. C:
Obviously, I'm a big fan of roleplaying. No duh. I've roleplayed for about four years now I think? It started with some Warriors roleplays I believe, which were so awful by the way. xD My first forum was a Warriors site called Spiritclan which died after a few months when our only admin vanished without a trace. ._____. So then we made Spiritclan V2, which lasted for a respectable amount of time. C: But that also died out after a while. However, on Spiritclan V2 I met a valuable roleplay partner that I have kept in touch with, named Fay. C:
After Spiritclan V2, I went through a whole host of other forums I could list for ages. xD
--- Second Echo, Obsidian Night, Triple Entente, Their Story, The Last Stronghold (were all Warriors sites, mostly made and owned by me and co-owned with Fay)
--- A wolf site or two
--- A roleplay site for the anime Bleach
--- A Gifted site or two
--- A Pokemon site or two
More or less all of them died within a while or I left them. ._____. Which is a pity, because I had high hopes for especially The Last Stronghold. Anyway.
Other than forums, I also have been in a few guilds on Neopets, including a Medieval Fantasy one, a Dragons one, a few Warriors ones... a Pokemon one (still in it), and others I've probably forgot. Aside from that, I also do one on ones over email. C:
My list of genres that I roleplay in general is pretty long. Mostly I focus on Fantasy (medieval + modern), animals, and fandoms (mostly anime/manga).
Aside from roleplaying, I also like a lot of other stuff. xD

Reading / Writing
Well, I've been a huge fan of books since day one, which is good, because I can't stand television. xD Never got into the big screen, or the little screen for that matter. Definitely not a cinema person - I fall asleep during movies. I used to read at lightningspeed, but since I got into highschool and started going to my current school where the workload is enough to give people nervous breakdowns (not joking - a few of my friends have had them and I myself have had some seriously scary nights), I haven't been reading much.
NEVERTHELESS. I do keep a giant list of books I need to read on my bedroom wall, with checkboxes next to them to check off when I finish them. C: SO. If you have any books you REALLY recommend because they're awesome, please do shoot them my way and I'll add them to the list!
I also love to write, hence why I roleplay. xD I am aspiring to be a part-time novelist when I grow up. C: And I really want to be a book critic, but I digress. xP And I have written a couple novels, but they're complete shit (like, I wrote them in sixth grade and they make me want to puke), but I'm working on a book right now I actually do want to publish. C: Currently it's about 80 types pages on Word, though I've gotten really lazy about it. xD
Video Games[/u]
I. Love. Video Games.
Never stopped playing them. We own an old Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, GameCube, PS2, and I borrowed a DS from my friend. xD I'm especially a huge fan of Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts. Pokemon has been a guilty obsession since day one when the old games Red / Blue / Yellow came out and the cards were all the rage. C: Ever since then, I've owned at least one of every Pokemon generation:

Pearl
I don't, however, have HeartGold or SoulSilver yet, of which I am very upset. D: Especially since Black / White are almost out. So I'm also a fan of Kingdom Hearts because it's awesome. C: I've played I, II, and CoM, but not 358/2 Days or whatever that one was called, though I do desperately want to. D:
Anime/Manga[/u]
Like Video Games, anime has been a pastime of mine since forever. xD There have been some lulls in it, but overall it's been pretty constant. I believe it all started with Inuyasha back in grade school. .____. Like, when I was ten. But then I realized there was no end to the ever-dragging plot even though they've now reached book 100+ and seriously need to end it now. So I stopped reading that and lost interest.
Then I got into Naruto. (Which manga fan hasn't had a phase of Naruto?) That lasted for a year or two, though I'll say now that I am way behind in Naruto. Honestly, I lost interest at the beginning of the Sasuke Retrieval Arc, and I understand that now they have gone so much past that that I'm just left here in the dust. xD But that's okay.
After that was a year or so of Bleach obsession.
But I never really got past the first arc in that either. ._____. So. But it's still kinda cool? ^^;Then Death Note. Which was and is amazing. Still stands as one of my favorite manga. One of the few I've finished, since it's short. I love Death Note. Love it. Big Mello fan. I know, shocker right? Because everyone loves L. xD Maybe I'm just trying to be nonconformist? But I love Mello. He creeps the shit out of me. C:
Between Death Note and the others, I read some minor stuff like Tsubasa and Rurouni Kenshin. Stuff that isn't so mainstream. Then I really got into Fullmetal Alchemist last summer and now I'm in love with that too. xD I finished the anime over last summer, and over this year just finished the manga because the manga-ka has just finished writing it. C: AND NOW FMA IS OVER. D: *sobs quietly*
But yes, excellent manga. One of my favorites.
And then, my current obsession. xD Thanks to my friend, I am now thoroughly into Pet Shop of Horrors. It is a fabulous manga, and I've finished it since it's only 10 books. C: And it's awesome. Count D comes from Pet Shop of Horrors, if you haven't already guessed that. xD So he's really awesome. .______.
And yeah. You should read it.
Oh, and I'm HUGE Deon Fan. C: That's the pairing between Count D and Leon. C: Leon's last name is Orcot, by the way. C: They belong together.
Awright, that's enough about me. xDD
This was supposed to be short, and now look what happened. DDD: But that's okay. C: If you actually read through all this crap, you have my newfound respect, because I don't even think I'd have the patience. xDDD So I hope you found something interesting in here. xP
