Tassel is a silver-backed jackal, meaning just about his entire appearance is perfectly summed up by the picture above. Neither large or small, he's your average-sized jackal - long-legged, and with quite short, fine fur. This helps him adapt very well to the hot desert climate where he is very comfortable. He doesn't like to leave the desert because he's rather sensitive to cold and tends to complain when displaced.
Like all other jackals, he has fine sandy-colored fur that covers him from head to tail. His legs are long and slender, and his ears are rather large and pointed, though hardly as large as those of a Fennec Fox. His eyes are rather narrow and sort of beady, giving him a constant prankster look, and his muzzle is long and pointed as well. He looks more like an overgrown fox, actually. The sandy-colored fur is only broken by one long stripe of black fur laced with silver dashes than spans from his shoulders all the way to the base of his tail. The black is also found on the fringes of his feather-duster-like bushy tail, which he likes using to swat away insects.
Tassel also wears a necklace around his ruff, with a cross dangling at the end of it. He's not really sure what it symbolizes, but he found it one day and thought it was pretty neat. Also [this part is only for when he becomes a seer!] he has a touch of magic in him, and can channel this through slips of paper that he uses. Designed much like small Asian scrolls, they have symbolic writing on them, and when he takes one out, he can activate his magic abilities through them. He carries a few of these around during battle, but mostly leaves them in his den. With them, he can primarily do a couple small healing spells.

Tassel, called Ten-chan only by canines that he knows well (mostly his brother and occasionally by Roxis - he would only let someone call him Ten-chan when he thinks he gets along well enough with them), is quite a handful. He's not the typical wise, benevolent, all-knowing seer that one would expect. And anyway, how can one grow up to be like that in the Seori Pack? Tassel is known for being somewhat of a trouble-maker, relaxed and carefree, and yet he has his heart in the right place. He can be somewhat crude and informal, but that just kind of runs in him.
The thing about Tassel is that he's rather crude when first met. Even to the higher-ups, he doesn't use any sort of formal speech at all and doesn't seem to show any sort of respect, preferring to do as he likes and say what he likes. This bothers some who see it as arrogance, but if confronted about it, Tassel would probably just back off and not talk to the canine anymore. Besides that, he's got a distinct laid-back, go-with-the-flow attitude. He takes life as it comes, and is more than happy to lie around in the shade and enjoy casual chatter with an acquaintance. Some call him lazy, but he doesn't really care.
However, when it comes right down to it, Tassel has a good heart in him. He likes to help people, even if it may be misplaced sometimes and not with the best results in the long run. Unfortunately, he tends to go with his own instincts, and isn't the type to ask others what they think. He's pretty frank about stuff and doesn't easily sympathize with others, choosing instead to take the "sorry, but life moves on. Better just live with it" approach to everything, much like his younger brother, though Tetsu's a little meaner about it.
Overall, Tassel's a relaxed, calm, cool individual. He isn't afraid to fight when needed, mostly to defend himself. Though his loyalty isn't obvious, and he wouldn't necessarily sacrifice his life to save another, he kind of do things his own way, and usually that means going along with what the rest of the pack says.
